Follow-up appointments
Here are non-exhaustive examples of reasons for follow-up appointment :
- Chronic disease follow-up (COPD, Hypertension, Diabetes, etc.)
- Medical leave follow-up
- Monitoring of mental health disorder (Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, etc.)
- Drug renewal
- Screening, prevention and need for blood tests
- Contraception and pap test
- Paediatric follow-up
- Chronic pain follow-up (including CNESST case)
- Other requests or non-urgent needs.
When you make a request for a follow-up appointment, a medical secretary will call you back within a maximum of 5 working days.
Urgent appointment with your doctor
Here are non-exhaustive reason for an urgent appointment with your family doctor:
- Trauma
- Laceration
- Abscess
- Urinary tract infection
- Respiratory infection
- Fever for 3 days
- Pain of recent onset
- If you are unsure of the emergency level of your condition, please call 811 first.
- For this kind of consultation reason, if your family doctor has no availability for you quickly, an appointment will be offered with the on-duty doctor at the mini-emergency.
